Jay Wolfe was born in Parkersburg, the son of Donald and Emogene Moore Wolfe, both of whom were born in Cairo of Ritchie County. Attending public schools in Wood County, he graduated in 1973 from Parkersburg South where he met his wife to be, Mollie Butler. Later, he attended Marshall University majoring in business and graduated from Glenville State College in 1977 with a degree in business administration. Mollie became a school teacher and taught in the Wood County public schools for five years. Mollie now operates the insurance agency full-time. Mollie and Jay have been married thirty-three years, have four grown children and four grandchildren. Both Mollie and Jay grew up in Democrat homes and first registered as Democrats to vote.

Jay and Mollie own and operate an independent, property-casualty insurance agency. He has been an insurance agent for 30 years, been involved in building two motels, owns several rental properties and operates four Sprint cell phone stores, all in West Virginia.

The Wolfes are active members of Life Builders Fellowship church where Jay is an elder, teaches youth Sunday-school classes and plays the bass-guitar in the worship band. Since 1983, Jay has made numerous trips to Ft. Liberte, Haiti where he, along with many others from churches around West Virginia, has helped the Haitian Jerusalem Baptist Church congregation build school classrooms, help supply medical clinics and build an orphanage.

In 1984, when moved to Bridgeport with an insurance job, Jay and Mollie both registered for the first time as Republicans because of their pro-life convictions and knowing the pro-abortion political platform of the Democrat Party. Jay has since grown to be both socially and fiscally conservative.

Jay Wolfe served four years in the West Virginia State Senate from 1987 through 1990, served on the Harrison County and State Republican Executive Committees, was the 1988 Republican U.S. Senate nominee against Robert Byrd and the 2002 Republican U.S. Senate nominee against Jay Rockefeller.

When asked why he keeps going after Rockefeller’s U.S. Senate seat, he is quick to remind people that, “Rockefeller is out of touch with the values of most West Virginians - just look at his voting record.”

Dear visitor;

Welcome to my web site. You only need to turn on the news to realize the difficulties our nation faces. With soaring gasoline prices, families losing their homes, rising anti-American violence around the world, violence in our schools, in our neighborhoods, the importance of this election cannot be understated.

Liberal Democrats are closer than ever to wrecking our economy, destroying traditional family values and shredding our liberties.

Republicans need only two seats to win back the majority in the U.S. Senate.

This year, we are guaranteed that an extreme liberal Democrat will be running for President. I believe West Virginia Republicans and Democrats alike will be electing a Republican for President, just like they did in 2000 and 2004.

In 2002, I was Senator Rockefeller’s opponent and came within 13% of defeating him and he outspent me 20 to 1. That year, there were no Presidential coattails to help me.

While it is true that we are a predominantly Democrat state, most of our Democrats are family-oriented, pro-life, liberty-minded conservatives that will vote their conscience when they know the issues at stake.

I have had an opportunity to study and compile, for your review, Senator Rockefeller’s embarrassingly liberal voting record. When West Virginians find out just how liberal he has become, those same voters who elect John McCain for President will also elect me to the U.S. Senate – and won’t we have a fine celebration when that happens.

There has never been a better time to defeat Senator Rockefeller and here are two things I need you to do:

First, go to the Jay Vs Jay Poll and see which Jay best represents your values and views. If you agree with me on at least 6 out of 10 issues, then print out the poll and distribute copies to your West Virginia friends.

Secondly, millions of dollars each day have been pouring into the Democrat campaign funds through their web sites. The liberals know the importance of this election and they are digging down deep to help their liberal champions. The best chance we have of thwarting their extreme liberal agenda is in the Senate. This is a serious matter; we must hold the line in the U.S. Senate!

So, go to the donate button and contribute, if you think you can comfortably give $250 toward this battle for the very survival of our nation, then double that and give $500. Likewise, if $25 is what you can comfortably give, then give $50. Your contribution is vital in this campaign. A wise man once said, where your treasure is, there is your heart. If we truly care about our country, all of us must give sacrificially of our treasure.

Thank you so much for your help in what will be the 2008, biggest upset in the nation, when West Virginians elect Jay Wolfe to the U.S. Senate.

Sincerely,

Jay Wolfe
